Data Management Centre (DMC) of Alagappa University, established in April 2020,serves as the central hub for integrating, managing, and securing data across all academic and administrative units.

The centre plays a vital role in supporting the university’s digital transformation initiatives by ensuring accurate, reliable, and efficient data handling through modern information systems. Acts as the central repository for academic, administrative, research, and extension -related data.

Online Data Collection

  1. Maintains the DC (Data Collection) Portal for gathering institution-wide data.
  2. Supports form automation, survey data collection, and digital documentation.

The DMC plays a significant role in enabling:

  1. Efficient governance through accurate data
  2. Fast decision-making for university authorities
  3. Standardized processes in identification, documentation, and reporting
  4. Consistency across all departments and affiliated entities

ID Card Printing & Issuance (University-Wide)

The Data Management Centre also facilitates centralized ID card generation and printing, covering:

  1. All University Students (Regular, Constituent Colleges)
  2. Teaching Staff
  3. Administrative & Supporting Staff
  4. Pensioners / Retired Employees
  5. Ph.D. Scholars & Research Fellows

Under ID Card Management:

  1. Collection and verification of photos, personal data, and department details
  2. Design, Printing, and Lamination of ID cards
  3. Maintaining digital records of issued and renewed ID cards
  4. Providing replacement cards when required
  5. Coordinating with departments, examination sections, HR, and Registrar's office
  6. This centralized system ensures uniform format, accuracy, security, and timely delivery of ID cards across the university.
