- To provide 24*7 emergency services by our Medical Team
- To organize Awareness programs and short term courses regarding Health issues periodically for our students.
- Our University Health Care Centre was inaugurated and opened on 18.03.2016.
- Regular medical treatment for all the University members in our campus from 9.30 am to 6 pm has been provided by medical officer and a staff nurse. 24*7 service is also been provided by them during emergency situation.
- We have consultation room,physiotherapy room, investigation lab, counseling room separately for patient privacy. In patient beds are also provided in our Centre.
- Blood investigation lab will be arranged soon in our Health Care to give complete medical aid
- Record maintainence of patients are perfect in our Centre, for future emergency situation of patients.
- Near by education Institutions and our affliated college Staffs and Students are also given treatment free of cost.
- Regular weekly visits are undertaken by our medical officer to all ladies hostel for treatment to cope up with their transport inconvienience and couselling has also been done for few.
- Monthly checkups are provided for Special education school students for their welfare.
- Dr.LloydsFernando, M.D., Psychiatrist and Mrs.Leema Thomas, Psychologist are visiting our University Health care regularly to give counseling for the students for excelling in their efficiency, concentration and academic performance and also for their stress related problems.
- Fullfledged first aid and emergency treatment has been provided by our medical team near the ground during competitions which have been conducted in our University campus.
- Apart from all these, our medical officer provides lectures for the students of college of physical education to get deep knowledge about the normal anatomy,physiology of our body, sports injuries and health education.
Apart from seeing patients, we have conducted Health awareness program for women, on 4.11.2016.Dr.Vetriselvi M.D.O.G., and Dr.Elakkiya, gave expert lecture and all faculities and students cleared their women problems during the program
Another Awareness Program on First Aid and Basic Life Support was conducted on 10.2.2017,for all the students and faculties of our university, Senior Consultant Dr.JudeVinothM.D.,Emergency medicine, from Apollo Reach Hospitals was invited and effective lectures in detail was taken by him which was very much useful for everybody in their day to day emergencies
Medical camp for our University faculties and Public has been conducted by our Health Care Centre along with department of IFLS and Apollo hospitals, Karaikudi on 4.11.2016 in our Health care campus. Dr.Venkatachalapathy, M.S,GeneralSurgery, Medicalsuperintendent, Apollo Reach Hospitals, Dr.SwaminathaSethupathy, M.D General medicine, Dr.VetriSelvi M.D.O.G, treated the patients and investigations were done free of cost during the camp. Almost 350 patients were benefited during the camp
Students are given Short term Certificate courses on First aid and Basic Life support with Hands on training for 10 days.This program has been started with the students of College of Physical Education and we will be extending this program for students of all the departments which will help them during emergency conditions and they will be able to handle the situation before the Medical Team arrives to the spot. Senior Super Speciality consultants, Dr.KarupaiyaM.D,Emergency medicine, Dr. Lloyds Fernado, M.D.Psychiatrist, Dr.Shankar, M.D,D.M, Cardiology, Dr.Soundara Pandian, D.M, Nephrology, Mr.Rajkumar, Physiotherapist were invited for this short term course, special lectures were given and hands on training for Cardio Pulmonary Resucitation was given to every students who attended the program. This course will be extended to all the department students shortly.
