Ramanujan Centre for Higher Mathematics
Genesis

The Ramanujan Centre for Higher Mathematics (RCHM) came into existence in 2006, with its inauguration officiated by former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, in 2011. Notably, the establishment of this research centre was championed and facilitated by the esteemed former Chairman of ISRO, Dr. Kasthuri Rangan. One captivating feature of the Ramanujan Centre is its incorporation of mathematical symbols into the architecture, designed to immerse researchers in a truly mathematical environment, stimulating their creativity and fostering a sense of connection to their field. The Centre aims to conduct and foster outstanding research and learning methods in both pure and applied mathematical sciences. Moreover, the members of the research centre collaborate with international experts in their area of research to ensure strong Indo-foreign participation and also collaborate with researchers from top ranked Indian institutions to enhance the knowledge sharing in the Centre's programmes.

The Research Centre provides opportunities for visiting research fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and doctoral students to work within the research foci of the faculty members of the research Centre like Abstract and Fractional Differential Equations, Stability Analysis of Dynamical Systems, Neural Networks, Synchronization Theory, Genetic Algorithms and Regulatory Networks, Multi-agent Systems, Vehicular Suspension System, Machine Learning Algorithms, Complex Dynamical Networks, Multi-layered Networks, Under Water Vehicle Dynamics, Graph Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Algorithmic and Algebric Graph Theory. Based on the above areas of interest, we developed and strengthen some strong mathematical methods based on general and powerful modeling and corresponding in-depth structural knowledge. Especially, we have constructed a strong mathematical model to eradicate the mosquito borne diseases like Chikungunya, Dengue, Calara, Typhoid etc.,

Its main goals are to train highly skilled young mathematicians across the entire breadth of mathematics, to develop innovative application-oriented mathematics with a focus on data-driven modelling, simulation, and optimization, and to open up new mathematical thinking spaces. This contributes and motivates to the next generation of the faculty members and research students in many spheres and the advancement of multicultural environment.

The Centre is doing research collaborations with various Universities/Institutions/ Research Centre’s like Nanjing University, Jiangsu University of Technology, South East University, Hunan Normal University, Nanjing Xiaozhuang University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, China, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, University of Bielefeld, Germany, Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation, Australia, University of Derby, UK, Maejo University, Thailand, Taibah University, Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia, Cankaya University, Turkey, Mississippi University, USA, Texas A & M University, Kingsville, USA.
